Accomplishing my morbid mission

Flipping bodies, trying to recover
My friends who have likely gone down under
A knot forms in my throat
As I wade through the never-ending horror



Every single passenger on the plane
Of every body type and every age
Were seated up on that plane
Yet every corpse looks exactly the same

Anonymous masses of charred flesh, with no identity litter this beach
I cry out in fear as my only friend dies of a heart attack
Am I the only one left?
The only living being here?
